(September 2021) The lab welcomes new graduate students! Noémie Landry and Alexandra Lemoyne are starting a PsyD in Neuropsychology at UQO, Nasim Kiaee is starting a Master’s degree in Neuroscience at Carleton University and Arthur Chaves is starting a Postdoctoral Fellowship in the lab!
(April 2021) Dre Sara Tremblay is a recipient of the prestigious Fonds de Recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS) Research Scholar Junior 1 award.
(March, 2021) Our lab was granted clearance to continue in-lab research after a year long pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic!
(February 2021) The Royal receives an outstanding 1.5 million anonymous donation for mental health research. A third of this donation is dedicated to help the creation of the Neuromodulation Research Clinic. This generous gift allows us to expand our clinical trial and include MRI scans for all participants.
(November 2020) Dre Sara Tremblay is a recipient of the Brain Canada Future Leader in Canadian Brain Research Fund. This will allow the development of a new clinical trial aiming at characterizing predictors of response to theta burst stimulation using positron emission tomography in individuals with major depressive disorder.
(September 2020) Manon is beginning the Clinical Neuropsychology program at Université Du Québec en Outaouais, Alex is beginning her Ph.D in Clinical Psychology at the University of Ottawa and Molly is beginning her Master’s in Neuroscience at Carleton University.
(September, 2020) We have many new students starting with us this Fall! We have three new Honours students, Claire Tizzard and Noémie Landry.
(July, 2020) Dr. Tremblay accepted tenure track position from the Université Du Québec en Outaouais!
(June, 2020) Our lab acquired new TMS, EEG and neuronavigation systems! This will help increase the number of clients we can enroll in our clinical trial and greatly reduce scheduling conflicts for the equipment!
(May 2020) Manon presented her work “TMS-EEG as a measure of the intermittent theta bust stimulation mechanism in the prefrontal cortex” at BrainStim 2020 hosted by Alto University in Finland!
